Jerusalem, 5 June, 2025 (TPS-IL) — For the first time since the outbreak of the Iron Swords War, workers from China landed in Israel and will return to work in construction sites in the country.
Thursday morning, the first workers landed, and later a total of about 1,000 Chinese construction workers are expected to arrive. This is the first group of 4,000 workers, as part of bilateral agreements between Israel and the Chinese government.
Later this month, additional joint professional exams are planned to be held in cooperation with the Ministry of Construction and Housing to recruit 3,000 additional workers, as part of the joint effort to accelerate the pace of absorption of Chinese construction workers in Israel.
This week, a meeting was held between representatives of the Foreign Workers Administration and the Bilateral Agreements Division, the Economic Axis and representatives of the Chinese Embassy, with the aim of expanding the scope of cooperation.
