Trucks and heavy machinery seized alongside illegal infiltrators
This week, a large-scale enforcement operation was conducted by Central District forces against key targets suspected of operating pirate transfer stations and committing illegal waste offenses.
The operation involved police officers from the Kfar Qassem station, the Raqia unit of the Sharon region, the Economic Enforcement Department of Lahav Center, TIPAT fighters, Border Police fighters, inspectors from the Green Police at the Ministry of Environmental Protection, and other government enforcement officials, accompanied by the Central District Prosecutor’s Office.
During the operation, six trucks and heavy machinery were seized, and additional vehicles are expected to be seized later under court order. Ministry of Transportation examiners took seven trucks off the road that were found to be defective and prohibited from use. At one of the transfer stations, seven illegal infiltrators were arrested along with two employers suspected of employing them illegally. The Ministry of Labor ordered the closure of one of the transfer stations due to severe safety deficiencies, and four additional transfer station managers were investigated on suspicion of operating a business without a license.
As part of a joint investigation by the police and the Green Police, two transfer station owners were detained for investigation on suspicion of environmental offenses.
