Jerusalem, 21 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) Chief of the General Staff Lt. General Eyal Zamir called the ceasefire in Lebanon “fragile,” that Israel’s Military needs to “be prepared in high readiness for the resumption of combat operations, for thwarting threats, and for a swift transition to attack if required,” and that, “All IDF resources are designated for this.”

Zamir made the comments when meeting with various brigade commanders operating in southern Lebanon today, Sunday.

“We continue to fight. Our goal is clear and remains—protecting the northern settlements and the citizens of Israel,” he added. “To that end, we direct all our efforts; even the operations in the areas of Ali al-Tahar and Beaufort are intended to serve this purpose.”
