Ben Gurion Airport has reopened Terminal 1 for international flights as the Israel Airports Authority prepares for a sharp rise in summer passenger traffic.

The authority said roughly 230,000 passengers are Expected to pass through Terminal 1 during July. The terminal offers expedited security screening, dining services, and duty-free shopping.

Thursday is expected to be the busiest single day of the summer, with approximately 85,000 passengers flying internationally through the airport.

July overall is projected to see around 2.3 million passengers — an increase of roughly 25% compared to the same period last year.
